Carnegie Mellon University research and additional research to answer the question “why do people dream?” — have found an overwhelming majority of people surveyed believe dreams contain important hidden truth. There are several theories on why we dream.

As you begin to remember your dreams and consider dream interpretation, you may notice three types of dreams and here is the meaning behind those dreams:

1) Problem Solving Dreams

The meaning behind Problem Solving Dreams could be direction, insight or solution to problems. You can program your dreams so you can ask question and receive answers — such as to family problems, a title for a book or clarity during confusing situations.

2) Teaching Dreams

A road is your direction in life. The road condition suggests how you are creating your life. If going downhill, the wrong direction — uphill is the right direction. If up and down, then you are reacting to life and not making much progress. If fork in the road, then you have a decision to make.
